| Imikpuk Lake in spring. Most of the lake ice is snow-covered, but there are a few bare spots. Imikpuk Lake had the least amount of snow of all the sites, with an average of only 12 cm in April. The lake ice grew to a thickness of 2.1 m. | Imikpuk Lake in early summer. The snow has melted and only ice remains. There aren't any melt ponds because the water drains from the ice surface as it melts. |
