| Site 17 6 September Latitude: 87 37.205 N Longitude: 155 52.531 E The floe was flat in the middle with some easily identifiable refrozen ponds and some large ridges including one with a 3 m sail. The frozen ponds are thick enough to walk on. The measurements included a snow depth and ice thickness survey, soot sampling, ice cores, melt pond properties, transmission measurements, and a characterization of the snow cover. |
