| Site 16 2 September Latitude: 85 58.992 N Longitude: 162 13.885 W A fairly thick multiyear floe with a flat region surrounded by ridgesand and only a few melt ponds. The measurements included an ice thickness survey, soot sampling, ice cores, and a characterization of the snowpack. This floe was selected for buoy deployment including an IMB and a JAMSTEC J-CAD ocean buoy. |
