| Site 08 27 August Latitude: 84 18.540 N Longitude: 160 38.867 W This was an old multiyear floe, with considerable surface topography, including many hummocks and old weathered ridges. Ponds were beginning to freeze. The measurements included an ice thickness survey, soot sampling, ice cores, melt pond properties, transmission measurements, and a characterization of the surface scattering layer. |
