Solar disk not visible Scans were made from the bow of the ship to get a sampling of all available ice types. The ship was in motion during the measurements. The solid black line is the mean for the 24 measurements and the dashed red line the standard deviation. There was a combination of open water, thin nilas, thin ice covered by frost flowers, and snow-covered ice. |
