Date: 23 August 2005 Time: 2329-0010 UT Latitude: 82.0467 N Longitude: 178.277 W Sky: Complete overcast. Solar disk not visible. Snowing. Scans were made from the flying bridge of the ship every 60 seconds. The ship was in motion during the measurements. The solid black line is the mean for the 20 measurements and the dashed red line the standard deviation. The surface was a mixture of bare ice, melt ponds, and open water. Most ponds have a thin layer frozen surface layer. |
