On 13 June 2001 there was an ice push where on shore winds caused ice motion and rafting of ice onto the beach. Coincidently an aerial photography survey flight was underway during this ice push. Ice motion and breaking was evident in flight passes only a few minutes apart as the figure below indicates. |
